Night Trip on the Seine

April 28, 2008 · 5 Comments

If you visit Paris, a trip along the Seine in the evening is a must—probably the best 10 euros you will spend.  Take a look.  It’s a ten-minute video, but I think it truly captures the beauty of Paris, France at night.

How long does the boat trip last? Is it about two hours?

There are several boat companies that ply the Seine, but we’ve always had the best luck with the Bateau Mouche. The trip lasts a little over one hour and runs hourly or every half hour depending on the season. They run well into the evening year round and I would recommend a night trip as you can see by the video.

    Jim,

What a fantastic video. It may be as close as I get to the beauty of Paris!

Bring some of that non-drizzly weather back with you! It’s rainy and crappy here! Yuck!

Are you and Sylvia on your way back yet? I think you were coming home in early May? Or are you on to another stop in the Big Trip?

Whatever the case - I hope you are having a wonderful time!

PS - Abigail started crawling yesterday! Time to lose the rest of this baby weight by chasing after her!

We’re baaaaaack! If we had known how bad it still is here, we would have stayed longer!

Great trip, but it’s also good to be with friends again.
